Head of Damasena right, wearing satrapal cap, moustache and earring; behind, date in Brahmi numerals. Rev. RaJno MaHaKsaTraPaSa RuDraSiHaSaPuTraSa RaJno MaHaKsaTraPaSa DaMaSeNaSa ('Of Raja Mahaksatrapa Damasena, son of Raja Mahaksatrapa Rudrasimha' in Brahmi) Three-arched hill; above crescent, to left, crescent, to right, sun; below, river. Fishman 18.2. A nicely toned example with a bold portrait. A few minor nicks, otherwise, very fine.
